1 Tántum ergo Sacraméntum
Venerémur cérnui.
Et antíquum documéntum
Nóvo cédat rítui:
Præstet fídes suppleméntum
Sénsuum deféctui.
So great a Sacrament, therefore, let us worship, bowed down; And let the ancient example give way to a new rite; Let faith bestow a support to the defect of the senses.
2 Genitóri Genitóque
Laus et jubilátio
Sálus, hónor, vírtus quóque
Sit et benedíctio:
Procedénti ab utróque
Cómpar sit laudátio.
To the Begetter and the One Begotten, praise and jubilation (be); Salvation, honor, power also let there be, and blessing; To the One proceeding from (them) both be equal praise (as well).
** Amen Amen.
