THE SUN IS SPLENDOR ROSE


1 The sun in splendor rose
On that first Easter morn,
When Christ triumphant o'er death's woes,
Brought mankind hope reborn.
2 Arisen from the dead,
Our Savior won for all
Redemption, when for us He bled,
Atoning Adam's fall.
3 Then let all men give praise,
With songs of joy and love,
To God Who, by our Savior's grace,
Reopened heav'n above.
4 Let earth and air and sky
With alleluias ring!
Unite with angel hosts on high,
In praise of Christ, the King.
